Become plant wise by immersing yourself into the world of plants and discovering the gifts they have to offer. Learn to recognize the different types of plants, their individual features (by drawing them), identifying them in their natural growing conditions, and tasting them.
10:30 a.m. – Depart from REI parking lot
11:00 – Meet an herbalist
11:15-12:30 – Getting acquainted with plants (plant sketching)
12:30-1:00 – Lunch
1:00 -2:30 – Plant ID/Foraging Hike
2:30-3:00 – Break
3:00-4:00 – Plant processing and preparation
4:00-4:30 – Tasting samples
4:30-5:00 – Return to REI parking lot
