The Nature Bus School
Growing Minds – One Outdoor Adventure at a Time
The Nature Bus School is a small, nature-based educational program serving just 16 children in Pre-K through 1st Grade in the Charlottesville, Virginia area. Designed to grow with families, we add one grade level each year, allowing children to remain in a consistent, nurturing learning environment.
At our school, learning happens where life happens – outside and throughout the community. Lessons come alive through real exploration, guided inquiry, and hands-on experiences that connect core academics with the world around them.
This is a school for families who believe childhood should be rich, meaningful, and memorable.

Nature Tours
Private Group Tours
We’ll work with you to customize the nature-themed outing of your DREAMS!
Nature tours for 10 – 16 people: available as half day, full day, and two day tours. You pick the date(s), and let us create a custom trip for your group. Check out THIS VIDEO to imagine the possibilities!

Public Group Tours
We offer some trips that are open to everybody at an affordable price. We depart from a variety of places in Charlottesville, VA and REI in Virginia Beach, VA.
