The day was packed with activities bus was loaded with friendly, excited people. I met new friends, learned a great deal from a Naturalist who led our forest walk, had my first yoga class and ended the day painting a bright moon behind the trees in a class led by an artist who provided every possible thing needed; easels, paint, aprons, brushes, etc. Bird calls were piped through the sound system of the very comfortable bus and there was even an essential oil diffuser and a cooler for our lunches. Thank you Nature Bus for a wonderful experience.

I had a WONDERFUL day “nature bathing” with Suzanne and her amazing Nature Bus! Suzanne thinks of everything necessary to give people a memorable experience. The bus is super comfortable too! The one and only Yolanda Imprevento from Beach Belly’s Yoga started us off with yoga on the beach! Afterwards, we enjoyed a hike in First Landing State Park guided by expert naturalist Stuart! Our day ended with a quiet meditation in the woods and a silent hike back to the bus. This experience is truly something everyone should do for themselves! Take time out for you! It is well worth it.

Leave the planning and the driving to The Nature Bus and enjoy a magical day outdoors! I had the most incredible day making new friends and learning about edible wildflowers and the history of the great Kiptopeke State Park! So many options– rent bikes or kayaks, take a nap in a hammock, learn to crab or fish. This is the best way to enjoy a new adventure whether you gather your own group and suggest a spot or sign-up for a trip expertly planned by Suzanne. She thinks of everything to make your day enjoyable! I look forward to the next adventure with The Nature Bus!

I scheduled a private camping event for 12 of us to Sandy Bottom Park. Everyone had a wonderful time and I’m already looking at scheduling another trip. Suzanne was wonderful in helping to organize the trip with lots of suggestions before and during our trip. She was able to hire an artist so we could paint in the park and have everyone take home a canvas which was a definite winner amongst the group. She was very flexible with our plans and had no problem driving our group out to dinner when we had pouring rain that put the Kabosh on our campfire plans. Waking up to a fire the next morning was the icing on the cake! Much needed coffee was ready in minutes. Lol. Highly recommend The Nature Bus for your next small group adventure.

I have taken several trips with the Nature Bus, the most recent, to the Great Dismal Swamp. In addition to the fine hospitality of hosts Suzanne and Kevin, we were accompanied by a historian who is an expert about the area. The Trips, including this one, are not only relaxing, and enjoyable, but informative and educational. I anticipate many more Nature Bus experiences!

Review of: All-Inclusive, Autumn Weekend Tour for GROUPS of 10-16
We traveled, as a photo club, to the western part of Virginia to enjoy the Fall Foliage. Our stops included a covered bridge, an active water fall, a rail road museum, sunrise and sunset photography opportunities and a visit to an apple/peach orchard are examples of what we all enjoyed so much.
The level of detail and concern to ensure we all had a great time epitomizes the level of service provided by Suzanne Moss and her husband. The bus was spotless, the timing and priority for sunset and sunrise photography was achieved with ease, the priority provided to our group by a very popular tavern in Charlottesville area, Michie Tavern provided a great “flow” for our travels, the concern to ensure that adequate rest stops were provided ensured everyone’s comfort, great story telling by Suzanne on the bus expedited the “travel time lag” are just a few reasons that the NatureBus exceeded expectations.
The NatureBus provides a variety of eco-sensitive opportunities to enjoy nature. This is a great opportunity to sit back, laugh and enjoy nature. It just doesn’t get any better.

Getting together with peers and getting away from the work grind. It was nice to be at the Oceanfront and visit the lovely gardens and historical artifacts from this region at the Waterfowl Museum at DeWitt Cottage as well as riding the Nature Bus with such an exuberant owner, Suzanne Moss. Great docents at the Museum. I learned how diverse the offers were with the Nature Bus as well.

Get Back to Nature
If you live in Va or visiting, I really encourage you to check out The Nature Bus if your looking for a day adventure or maybe a weekend. It’s a family owned company and it’s a great way to see of some of what Va has to offer. So far I’ve only been on two due to covid, looking forward to more. The owner Suzanne and her family go above and beyond to make sure all have a great time. Where ever the road takes ya, they always find the best informative guides. Also I love it’s not a large crowd and all CDC guidelines are in place to keep everyone safe. If you’re looking for fun and want to meet new people and just have a good time, in my opinion you can’t go wrong. She’s also open to suggestions for trips others may be interested in or if a group of family/friends want a specialized tour, she’ll arrange that too. Suzanne and The Nature Bus are a gift to Hampton Roads and VA. They do trips most Saturdays and some weekends, do yourself a favor and check it out. I’ve lived here all my life and The Nature Bus has taken me to places I never visited.

I live locally but have traveled a lot. The Nature Bus is right up there with some of the best tours I’ve taken. I went to the Dismal Swamp with their Saturday Escape tour. Although I’ve lived near the Dismal Swamp for 25 years, I learned so much. The guide was excellent at communicating her knowledge and love of the Dismal Swamp. It was easy to meet up with the Nature Bus at the designated location. The people running it were extremely friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend Nature Bus.

I loved this tour!!!! When I first read about the stops on the tour, I was hesitant to come. I am so glad I did. Suzanne (owner and bus driver) and Bob (our historian and guide) were phenomenal!!! I learned so much about Virginia Beach’s history. And the added bonus was the opportunity to partake in a Black History Month celebration at Princess Anne County Training School. Thank you for sharing so much knowledge about this area. This tour makes me want to explore Virginia Beach/Norfolk area more, learning about the rich history in this area. If you like history and are visiting Virginia Beach, take a tour with The Nature Bus!!!

We had the BEST time on the Nature Bus! Suzanne and Kevin picked us up and took us to grab lunch at The Green Cat Cafe and then we all had a nice picnic at First Landing State Park. After lunch, we had a guided painting session right under the trees. It was so beautiful! Kevin is very artistically talented, and helped us all create beautiful masterpieces.

Review of: Painting in Nature, for GROUPS of 10-16
I have gone on sightseeing / day bus trips in towns I was visiting in. I always think it is a great first day activity to get the layout of the land & have the opportunity to go back to anything we loved. I was invited to join a group on the NATURE BUS in my home city. I love the idea of a small bus and few people (bus can hold up to 16). With a smaller group we are able to do more in less time because we unloaded and loaded quickly, didn’t have to wait around for 50 people, and parking was easier. Suzanne Moss & Kevin Moss welcomed us warmly. The bus is brand-new & very comfortable to ride in. For the trip made for us we stopped at the GREEN CAT to pick up lunch to take to the park. Once at first landing park we had a picnic. Suzanne brought tablecloths for the picnic tables along with water & yummy coffee. After lunch we set up for the painting of an oak tree. Kevin, the artist showed us ways to create our master piece while Suzanne refill beverages & checked on our painting supplies. They never made us feel rushed to go to the next spot or leave. They let us be at our own pace. The spot they picked was perfect, even had a restroom nearby. Suzanne & Kevin explained each bus trip is customizable for each group….painting, wine tasting, nature, yoga … if you have a place in mind – they will take you. For the best experience it is suggested to plan your trip in advance so The Nature Bus team can make reservations & plan a timeline for the day. This is such a wonderful activity for any group really…. A b’day, a bridal shower, co-workers event, reunion…. & they can make the tour specific for the age group. I have been on many city bus tours all over the country and I have to say that I recommend THE NATURE BUS for anyone (local or visitor).

I’ve been on two Nature Bus trips so far – bird watching and white water rafting – and would definitely recommend for groups looking for a fun day trip outside. The bus is nice and clean, and the staff is very accommodating – this is a family business and it’s obvious they truly enjoy what they do. White water rafting was awesome – we lucked out with perfect weather and beautiful water. Our group had a blast throughout the whole trip – special thanks to the staff for letting us play music through the bus speakers and sing our hearts out the whole way home!
