Our Admissions Process
At The Nature Bus School, enrollment is intentionally personal. We take time to get to know each family and each child to ensure our program is the right fit for everyone involved.
Our admissions process is simple, transparent, and designed to feel welcoming rather than overwhelming.
Step 1: Review the Website
We encourage families to review our website in full, as many common questions and topics are addressed there.
Step 2: Submit an Initial Inquiry
Feel free to reach out to us through a brief form. This is simply a way to start a conversation with us:
Please allow 1–2 business days for our team to review your inquiry. We will reach out using your preferred method of contact to answer initial questions and discuss next steps.
Step 3: Prospective Family Information Session (Parents-Only)
Families who wish to learn more may attend one of our Prospective Family Information Sessions. These sessions offer a deeper dive into our philosophy, values, daily schedule and curriculum. There will be time to ask questions and determine whether our school is a good fit for your child before moving forward with the application process.
Step 4: Submit an Official Application
After attending a Meet & Greet, families may submit an official application.
The application includes:
- Detailed child information and background
- Academic, social, and readiness considerations
- Family and school goals alignment
A $50 non-refundable admissions fee is submitted with the application. If your child is offered a space, this fee will be applied toward tuition.
Step 5: Student Visit (Child-Only)
Once an application is received, families will be invited to one of several drop-off student visit sessions. These sessions are approximately two hours in length.
During the visit, your child will:
- Spend time with teachers
- Experience riding The Nature Bus
- Begin building comfort and connection with other prospective students
This step helps determine whether The Nature Bus School is the right fit for both your child and our school community.
Step 6: Enrollment Decision
Following the student visit, families will be notified of an enrollment decision.
If accepted, you will receive:
- An official enrollment offer
- A $1,000 enrollment deposit request (approximately one month of tuition), which will be applied toward your child’s annual tuition to reserve your child’s space for the upcoming school year
- Annual Tuition Agreement terms and conditions
- Onboarding details and next steps
A Note On Fit
Because we are a small microschool, enrollment is limited. Our goal is not simply to fill spaces, but to thoughtfully build our founding community—families who will grow together over many years. As we add one grade level each year, children remain part of a consistent, caring community throughout their early learning journey.
