Alaurah

Alaurah is a Coastal Scientist at an engineering firm in Virginia Beach. Alaurah received her BS in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Water Resources Management at Duke University. She has been working in the environmental consulting industry for several years, both locally and in the DC area. Working on local environmental issues is Alaurah’ s passion. She has become a subject matter expert on coastal flooding in Hampton Roads with the goal of helping communities become resilient to ongoing and future flood hazards. Alaurah also loves working with children to help them understand their environment and how they can make it a better place. She is excited to provide support to the Nature Bus by leading excursions.
