Enjoy a day in Nature with a nature photographer! Hop on board The Nature Bus, ride to two local nature destinations. Learn the mechanics of your camera (SLRs + Cell phones), and how to elicit emotion and tell a story with your photographs. Special attention will be given to both mechanics of photography and composition of your photographs.

Free carpool transportation on The Nature Bus
9:30 – 10:00 am Arrive at REI parking lot to get settled in, signed in, and select your favorite seat.
10:00 am Depart from REI. The Nature Photographer will present information as we roll down the road.
10:30 – 10:45 – Arrive at the first destination (restroom break)
10:45 – 12:00 Guided walk and photography lessons with the Nature Photographer and our cameras
12:00 – 1:00 Rest, relaxation, restroom break + picnic lunch (coolers on the bus for your packed lunch + water bottles). Personal time for practicing your new skills.
1:00 – 1:30 Travel to the second destination (restroom break)
1:30 – 3:30 Guided walk and photography lessons with the Nature Photographer and our cameras
3:30 – 4:00 Travel back to REI
4:00 – 4:30 Arrive back at REI (1/2 hr window depending upon traffic)
4:30 – 5:00 Optional social time inside REI community room. Share your photos, eat a snack, enjoy socializing.
What to bring:
Camera (SLR or your cell phone camera)
Lunch, snacks, water
Small picnic blanket or towel
Dress for the weather. Our trip will GO, rain or shine!
Sunscreen.
