Zachary

My name is Zachary and nature has always been a huge passion of mine. I have worked for parks for the last 5 years or so. I have done nature programs and lead hikes before and have used my own photogrpahy and wild snakes for programs with the public. I have a 2 year bachelors degree in science as of now. I have learned about wildlife mainly from my own passion and experience. Though I like all nature, snakes have been my favorite wildlife to find in the last several years.

What I want to do here is focus on hiking and searching for wildlife- especially reptiles and amphibians. They are much easier to get closer to and experience rather than something that can run away or fly away quickly. A lot of people seem to fear or hate snakes but do they know how many snakes are not venomous and are calm? Plus every kind of snake I have encountered in the area will not bite unless touched or provoked and I know which ones are what. I want kids (or anyone really) to learn, appreciate, and understand snakes more, as well as other animals. The goal is to learn and have fun in a safe and respectable way- for us and the creatures.
